Environmental Investigations

While the phase one report provides much data about the past history, uses, and risk of contamination at subject site, it does not involve any intrusive sampling and testing soil or groundwater. Phase II environmental investigations typically follow phase one assessments and involve sampling the subsurface for contaminants. The sampling is performed to regulatory standards and using the latest drilling techniques so as not to overly disturb subsurface or produce unnecessary waste. Samples are taken to chemical/environmental laboratories for testing and analysis. This phase of intrusive investigation is typically conducted in stages.
